PAKISTAN AIMING TO END ON A HIGH

This weekend A1 Team Pakistan travel to the Brands Hatch Circuit in Kent for the final round of the third season of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport. Adam Khan and A1 Team Pakistan will return to the British Circuit where the team scored their first ever points in A1GP, with the aim of adding to their season three points tally and ending the season on a high.

Before arriving at Brands Hatch, A1 Team Pakistan and Adam Khan stopped off in London's West End alongside all 21 nations in A1GP for a Pit Stop in regent Street last weekend. All 22 cars were laid out in grid formation for visitors to look round, take pictures and meet the drivers. Adam Khan was on hand to meet fans and join the series commentators Ben Edwards and John Watson on stage to discuss the team's preparations leading up to the race at Brands Hatch and to reflect on the season they have encountered so far.

A1 Team Pakistan driver Adam Khan who was at the event commented, "The pit stop in Regent Street went really well, there was a really good turn out and the atmosphere was great. I was able to meet some of the A1 Team Pakistan fans and sign some autographs, before appearing on the main stage. The dancers and cheerleaders that some of the teams bought along certainly added some colour and excitement to the day too."

After Sunday's pit stop in London, the A1GP series now moves onto the Brands Hatch Circuit, in Kent on the 3rd/4th May. The nine corner Grand Prix configuration, used by A1GP, runs in a clockwise direction over 2.301 miles (3.703 km) and is a firm favourite amongst the drivers. The track is steeped in history after being around since 1926 when it was first used for grass bike racing before becoming a popular Grand Prix venue. The track has starred in all three seasons of A1GP, after the first ever race was held there in 2005 in front of a crowd of 72,000 people.

Khan is looking forward to the challenge of racing at one of the most technical circuits on the A1GP calendar and commented, "Brands Hatch is very much a driver's circuit, the first corner as you drop down through Paddock Hill is phenomenal, especially in the A1 car. I drove there during the first season where we finished in the points with a seventh place, so we'll be aiming to repeat that this year. I'm really looking forward to this weekend; I'm not sure which I like most; driving circuit or the great support we receive from the British crowd when we're racing there."

A1 Team Pakistan will hit the track on Friday 2nd May, before qualifying at 14:15 on Saturday 3rd May, racing gets underway on Sunday 4th May with the Sprint Race at 11:00 before the afternoons Feature Race at 14:30.
