AAI Motorsports set to enter 3 cars in 2014 Asian Le Mans Series

In 2013 Asian LMS, AAI Motorsports finished in third place in GTC Class.

Asian Le Mans Series is delighted to share news from AAI Motorsports who recently announced their return to 2014 Asian LMS with 2 BMW Z4 and 1 MERCEDES-BENZ SLS AMG GT3.

AAI Motorsports is a premier racing team in East Asia which established in 1990 and based in Taiwan. The owner of AAI Motorsports Jun-San Chen is also the main driver. In 2014, the team participates in GT race of Asian LMS, the lineup of AAI Motorsports drivers includes the original Jun-San Chen (Taiwan), Morris Chen (Taiwan), continued signing Takeshi Tsuchiya (Japan), Tatsuya Tanigawa (Japan), Sakaguchi Ryohei (Japan ) and Ollie Millroy (UK). In addition, the team also recruits the “shining star” drivers, Takamitsu Matsui (Japan) and Yu Lam (China).

British driver Ollie Millroy said: “I have been very keen to continue racing in Asia and AAI Motorsports have provided an amazing opportunity for me to develop my profile outside of Europe. I have a lot of experience in the BMW Z4 GT3, which I can hopefully use to help the team develop the setup on their car and I will work closely with my teammates to ensure we grow together into a winning combination.”

In 2013 Asian LMS, AAI Motorsports finished in third place in GTC Class. With the new drivers’ recruitment and more cars enter to the 2014 season, AAI Motorsports is looking forward to set a benchmark for Taiwanese teams competing in Asian Le Mans Series.
