Braselton, GA, September 30, 2011-It was a tough end for Genoa Racing today in a no-holds-barred qualifying war in the LMPC division for the 14th Annual Petit Le Mans hosted by Road Atlanta.

Due to ACO regulation, the starting line-up for tomorrow's ten hour endurance challenge is limited to 53 total entries-which has pushed the Genoa Racing No. 36 London Project entry to an alternate starting position, despite nearly taking the pole in class.

Young gun Dane Cameron jumped in the car for the qualifying effort and quickly shot his way to the top, only to be usurped in the last five minutes by Kyle Marcelli in the Intersport entry. It was an amazing effort, with disappointing result.

The provisional grid will be set tomorrow following morning warm up, and it's expected that the 36 entry will be eliminated from competition based on regulation and field restriction.

"I am so disappointed for the team and The London Project guys," said Cameron. "The car was so good right out of the gate and we were clear for a long time-almost a good half of the session, but we missed something-either tire pressures or brake cooling. So we were not 100% and it was a bit disappointing not to be on pole like we were at Sebring-but I am not sure it would have mattered to secure us a starting position tomorrow. It's just frustrating with all the traffic and it wasn't quite the 110% we needed to be at the head of the pack, but we will be fine for the race. We will wait and see what tomorrow morning brings and I can only hope we get a chance as it's an amazing race and true test for a driver and team."

The championship contending No. 063 car performed its usual outstanding and consistent pace despite facing some steering issues earlier in the week in testing. London Project Pilot Jordan Grogor jumped in late and pushed the sister London Project/green dot/p.u.r.e./Zais Group ORECA FLM09 to a solid fourth place in class position-just behind the competition-CORE Autosport, who are merely two points behind in the battle to take the overall points lead.

"It was a great qualifying session," said Grogor, "But my first time in this car-so it took a little getting used to. It's slightly different to its sister car-but I enjoyed it a hell of a lot! It was great to actually get some clear laps in and the times came down impressively, but I think we just ran out of time at the end. But I am confident we will put on a good fight tomorrow."

Grogor will join the 063 "regulars" of Christian Zugel, Elton Julian and Buffalo, NY native Eric Lux, who is currently edging out Gunnar Jeannette and Ricardo Gonzales by three points for the Driver Championship. They will carry the blue and magenta livery of the sister 36 car in support of the The London Project to Cure Blindness.

Tomorrow's highly anticipated battle through the 12 twists and turns that comprise the highly technical 2.54 mile circuit will commence at 11:30 AM tomorrow morning, as Genoa and Core wage war for the LMPC championship title.
