Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin – August 15th, 2012 – The Conquest Endurance team heads to the rolling hills of Road America this weekend where it will compete in the Road America Road Race Showcase, the seventh round of the 2012 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron season.

In what has been a heavily fought season between the Conquest duo of Martin Plowman and David Heinemeier Hansson, and the Level 5 Motorsports team, Conquest has scored a string of six top two-finishes in a row including the team’s first win which came at Mosport earlier this summer. At the last event the team once again showed its speed and strength by leading most of the race and setting the fastest lap but ended up just a few seconds short of the victory.

The team’s #37 Morgan-Nissan chassis has proven to be very quick at the higher speed circuits such as Le Mans and Mosport, and with Road America having some of the longest straights and fastest corners in the calendar the team is hopeful that they will once again be the car to beat once the weekend gets started.

Heinemeier Hansson made his series debut at the picturesque 4.048-mile last year in the GTC category but this year he will have to relearn the track in the much faster and powerful P2 car. For Plowman it will be his first time around the Road America track but the experienced Englishman has proven to be a quick learner and scored pole position the last time he was in a track for the first time (Mosport).

"I'm looking forward to coming back to Road America. I did my very first ALMS race there last year in GTC, so it'll be fun to be back in a P2 car and see just how different it is. I think Road America is a good fit for the Morgan-Nissan with lots of high-speed straights and corners. We're certainly going to do our best to repeat the Mosport win and get back on the top step of the podium."

“Road America is probably the track that I have been looking forward to race on the most In this year's ALMS calendar. I've never ran there before, but everybody says how great it is and from what I can see from videos and from iRacing it looks like a lot of fun. I'm just going to go out there and give it my all to take the #37 car back to the top step of the podium, we have all the tools and the right people AND we just need to piece the weekend together like we did in Mosport"
