The team's first outing in GT at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, resulted in a seventh-place finish for Patrick Long and Tom-Kimber Smith following several frustrating on-track incidents with other cars. The pace of the car was on target to run with the leaders, however, leaving the team encouraged for this weekend's race at Lime Rock Park.

Patrick Long - Driver: No. 06 Porsche 911 RSR
"We need to build on the momentum that we picked up quickly at Laguna. I think our debut was indicative that there’s more to come. This team has put a ton of hours into this car during the break. We’re all really hungry and excited to pick up where we left off.

"Lime Rock is as good of a track for Porsches as any track that we go to on the ALMS calendar. It’s a really tricky track for strategy though, because it’s such a short lap, and it’s very tough with traffic. We just need to hit our marks on those variables and be there at the end."

Tom Kimber-Smith - Driver: No. 06 Porsche 911 RSR
"Lime Rock is a very short but challenging track. There is no room for error and of course with the track being so short it won't be easy to gain time.

"Coming from my last race Le Mans which is a very long lap and where I was driving a LMP2 car, arriving at Lime Rock in a Porsche 911 RSR will be a challenge. I will have to work hard and and be on point at all times. I'm looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and of course working with the CORE autosport team."

Looking for Lime Rock Repeat

Following a podium finish at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Jon Bennett, Colin Braun and crew are eager to get back to work in the No. 05 ORECA FLM09.

Bennett and Braun are the defending PC race winners at Lime Rock Park, leading the team's sister car home in a CORE autosport one-two finish.

Racing at the shortest track on the ALMS calendar is always a tough challenge with traffic serving as a constant hurdle.

Jon Bennett - Driver: No. 05 ORECA FLM09
"After a month away from the American Le Mans Series, Colin and I are ready and excited to get back to Lime Rock where we are the defending winners of the race from 2012.

"During the break, I have focused on my fitness, karting and even earned my private pilot's license. Morgan Brady and I traveled to Le Mans to further research CORE autosport's interest in this pinnacle event in the near future.

"Now it's back to the business at hand with the busiest part of the ALMS schedule ahead. We look forward to continuing our success in PC and continuing to develop our expertise with our Porsche GT3 RSR GT entry with Patrick Long and Tom Kimber-Smith."

Colin Braun - Driver: No. 05 ORECA FLM09
"I’m looking forward to going back to Lime Rock. We had a successful year there in 2012. It’s a track that a lot of people seem to have a lot of frustration with. It’s a very mentally challenging race track because things happen so quickly and you catch traffic so quickly you have to plan way ahead on where you’re going to make your pass. I think you can look at it one of two ways; you can look at it as a fun challenge or you can look at it as a big frustration. I really enjoy it. It adds a different element to the race that really keeps you on your toes.

"I enjoy the longer races, but the short races are fun because they happen so quickly, so you don’t have as long to make up from a mistake, but you also don’t have as long to make mistakes. It’s a different way to race and a different set of challenges, but I’m a race car driver, I’m trying to win races whether they’re two hours or 12 hours."
