Dyson Racing Welcomes Andy Meyrick

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY February 22, 2010 - British racer Andy Meyrick will be joining Chris Dyson and Guy Smith in the #16 LMP2 Mazda Lola Coupe for the three 2010 American Le Mans Series long-distance races. Starting with the season-opening Twelve Hours of Sebring on March 20, Meyrick will also partner in the six-hour American Le Mans Monterey on May 22nd, the season-closing 1,000 mile Petit Le Mans on October 2nd and may join the team at additional tests throughout the season.

While a newcomer to American shores, Meyrick brings top-end prototype experience to the ALMS and Dyson Racing. He raced an Audi R10 TDI in the Le Mans Series in 2009 for the Kolles LMP team. He helped that team take its best-ever finish with a fourth at the Nurburgring and set the team's best qualifying effort at Silverstone. In 2008, Meyrick made his mark on the British F3 Series with seven wins and ten poles in twelve starts. In a series that has been a proving ground for many past and present successful racers, Meyrick was recognized as a BRDC Rising Star.

"Andy's talent and determination came through very strongly at our two winter tests. He impressed us greatly with his speed, maturity and general approach to the team. It was a very good fit straight away," noted Chris Dyson, Vice President and Sporting Director. "We won the Petit Le Mans last year and the team looks forward to having Andy on board for all three of this season's endurance races. We welcome him to American sportscar racing and expect he will showcase his talent quickly. It will not take long for the fans to see what we saw when he first got behind the wheel."

"I am really excited to be joining Dyson Racing," Meyrick said. "They have an amazing history in endurance racing in the USA. Both Rob and Chris Dyson are very passionate about their racing and I am very grateful to them for the chance to be in the 16 car with Chris and Guy. It is an ideal situation for me to make my debut in the ALMS. Chris first invited me to test late last year and our focus has been to secure this drive ever since. The Mazda Lola is a great package and I am really looking forward to the challenge of Sebring and the other events."
