Braselton, GA (October 18, 2013) - For a seventh race in a row, the Muscle Milk Pickett Racing team will be starting from the front row for tomorrow's running of Petit Le Mans.
After a day of practicing in the rain on Thursday, the sun had returned to the track on Friday for the qualifying session.
The team knew they had their work cut out for them against Rebellion Racing if they wanted to score a pole position to close out the season.
Lucas Luhr initially took over the provisional pole, but was relegated to second when Rebellion driver Neel Jani took over the top spot on the time sheets.
The German got to within six tenths of the Rebellion time with a lap of one minute 10.648 seconds, only to see Jani register a lap of one minute 9.254 seconds.Like last year, at Petit Le Mans, the Pickett Racing squad had to settle for a second place on the starting grid for what will be the final American Le Mans Series race.

"We expected to be slower than the Rebellion car in qualifying. As we saw last year, as well as at the start of the season, they have more speed than us when it comes to qualifying as they've out-qualified us each time.
"That said, the car is good and it will be a long race tomorrow. We know we can go head to head with them and we also know we can beat them.
"I look forward to the race tomorrow. It should be a good show for the fans."
