GOODYEAR FAST FACTS FOR THE SUPERFLO 12 HOURS OF SEBRING
SEBRING INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY -- 3.70-MILE ROAD COURSE
SEBRING, FLA., FEB. 15-18, 2000

NOTES AND QUOTES:

The American Le Mans Series opens its 2000 racing season at the Superflo 12 Hours at Sebring, North America's oldest sports car endurance race, and Goodyear will be well represented in the 47-car field. Goodyear will bring 1,500 tires, including rain tires, to Sebring for the 12 Hours. The tires will come in 13 sizes to fit the wide variety of racing machinery.

The famed course, originally laid out on the runways of military training base airfield, has been modernized, shortened and paved in recent years. Only the start/finish straight retains the original concrete runway, a tribute to Sebring's historic past.

Sebring is traditionally the toughest sports car race of the three long-distance classics, which includes the Daytona and Le Mans 24-hour races.

The 48th running of the 12 hours features two different types of race cars divided into two categories and five separate classes. The Prototype category features open cockpit prototype World Sports Cars and Le Mans Prototypes, as well as Grand Touring Prototype class cars. The Grand Touring category features the Grand Touring S class cars, formerly known as GT2, and Grand Touring cars, formerly known as GT3. Both classes feature purpose-built race cars with an emphasis on spectator car identification.

Goodyear will be represented in both categories. The Goodyear-shod GM Goodwrench Chevrolet Corvettes from Pratt & Miller, who finished second overall at the recent Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, return to Sebring after a successful tire test last November. The team will field two cars at Sebring, one for Justin Bell, Ron Fellows and Chris Kneifel; the second for Kelly Collins, Franck Freon and Andy Pilgrim.

Based on the November test at Sebring and the results from Daytona, the Goodyear Eagles on the Corvettes for 2000 will include new compounds and constructions, along with the famous yellow lettering seen on Eagles competing in NASCAR racing.

In the Sports Racer class, Goodyear Eagles are the tires of choice for George Robinson and the 74 Ranch Racing team of Robinson, Irv Hoerr and Jack Baldwin.

RECOMMENDED COLD PRESSURE: Left front and rear 22 psi

Right front and rear 22 psi
