MIKE LANIGAN JOINS BOBBY RAHAL AND DAVID LETTERMAN AS CO-OWNERS OF RAHAL LETTERMAN LANIGAN RACING

HILLIARD, Ohio (December 17, 2010) - On the heels of clinching its first American Le Mans Series team championship, Rahal Letterman Racing today announced that successful entrepreneur and former Indy Car team owner Mike Lanigan has joined the team as a co-owner of what will now be known as Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing.

Today's announcement expands a relationship between Lanigan and Rahal Letterman Racing that began back in 2006 when Lanigan's Mi-Jack Products was the primary sponsor of Graham Rahal's Champ Car Atlantic racing efforts with Conquest Racing. Lanigan first delved into open-wheel racing in 1992 as a sponsor of Eric Bachelart in the CART series, eventually becoming a co-owner with Bachelart of Conquest Racing in 2001. In 2007 he joined Paul Newman and Carl Haas as a co-owner at Newman-Haas-Lanigan Racing, which also campaigned Rahal in Champ Car and Indy Car.

Lanigan and his three brothers, Jack, Bill and Dan, have taken the Mi-Jack company that their father founded in 1967 and expanded it into the leading manufacturer and supplier of mobile gantry cranes in North America. Along with his team ownership, Lanigan was instrumental in the formation of Mi-Jack Promotions, which served as the promoter for successful Champ Car World Series events in Houston and Cleveland.

"I have known Mike for a number of years and have always found him to be a gentleman, a fan of racing and an excellent businessman," Rahal said. "Both David and I were very pleased when Mike expressed an interest in joining the team. We had entertained this before but never felt that we found the right fit, but in this case we found a partner that feels the same way that we do about the future of the team. I feel fortunate to call Mike a partner and a friend and I look forward to a long and productive relationship with him."
