Hampton, Ga (August 28, 1998) - Chad Coleman, 30, of Greenville, SC was involved in a first lap accident at the Georgia Power 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway tonight.
Coleman was transported via helicopter to Georgia Baptist Medical Center where doctors were unable to revive him.
The Georgia Power 200 was Coleman's fourth career ARCA start. His first start came earlier this season at Daytona, where he finished 17th after leading 17 laps.
Coleman was single and had no children.
