Frenchman Michel Disdier Enters Michigan For Racing For Wildlife 200

With hopes that the weather man will have good news for the Racing for Wildlife 200 ARCA RE/MAX series race on June 12th at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS) live on SPEED at 5:00 PM Eastern, Michel Disdier from Nice, France is excited about having an opportunity to qualify his Bowsher Motorsports Ford for a good starting position on the grid.

In the two races Disdier has competed in this year it has rained heavily causing the ARCA officials to cancel qualifying and grid the cars by the Owner's Points earned thus far this year. With no previous races, Disdier was obliged to start at the back of the pack and consequently work his way up through the field. In both races Disdier aboard the No. 21 finished in the middle of the pack, showing both skill and patience in doing so.

"Michigan is very special for me, because it's where I did my first test on oval track, and where this big adventure of racing in United States began," said Disdier. "I'm excited to go there to see again all the crew of my team. I hope this time the rain will not disturb us, so we can have a good start position! I'm leaving tomorrow from Nice, France for a long trip to Chicago, then Michigan."

With a good qualifying run Disdier will enhance his prospects for a top-10 finish. The Bowsher Motorsports car is fitted with brake pads supplied by sponsor Carbone Lorraine, maker of brake pads from France.

Carbone Lorraine supplies brake pads for race teams across Europe and now in the United States also. The immediate grip these unique brake pads provide, give race drivers a distinct advantage when braking.

A good finish at MIS will be most welcomed by the team and an excellent prelude to the next race the following weekend at Mansfield Motorsports Park.
