TOLEDO OH (5-17-08) - ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series veteran Paul Hahn looked every bit the part Saturday afternoon at Toledo Speedway.

The Canton, Michigan driver, in the no. 7 Hahn's Powder Coating-Fox Auto Parts-Howe Racing Chevrolet, led the final 32 circuits en route to winning the Champion Credit Union 50.

"We were on a rail out there," said Hahn. "The truck was working so well; I could hug the white line when I needed too. It's nice to be finally turning our luck around. Can't wait to go to Flat Rock to make it three in a row."

Once Hahn cleared rookie Kenny Kirsch on lap 19 of the 50-lap main event, he had nary a challenger as he sped off to his 17th career series victory and second consecutive series triumph.

Kirsch, in the Kirsch's Automotive Service Center Chevrolet, finished a career-best second.

"We were just too tight," said Kirsch. "We couldn't hold the bottom and that kept opening the door for Paul (Hahn). But we learned a lot, and we'll be better next time. I really like this track. Can't wait to come back."

Kirsch spent much of the race fending off TJ Stineman who finished third in the Front Row Fab-Cool World Thermal Barriers Dodge, also a career-best for the Lagrange, Ohio driver.

Nick Gullatta charged from the tail-end to finish fourth in the Thomson Automotive-Mr. Heater-Enerco Chevrolet. Gullatta also earned the 2BKool Pole Award and moved into the point lead.

Local Toledo, Ohio driver Mike Young finished fifth in the Dave White Chevrolet.

Outside polesitter Robbin Slaughter jumped into the lead at the onset before Kirsch took control of the top-spot on lap four. Kirsch managed to hold off Hahn for 15 circuits before Hahn made his winning pass off turn four.

Steve Christman ran second for much of the race before the Fort Wayne, Indiana driver fell out with mechanical woes on lap 39. Christman fell from the point lead as a result.

Brad Yunker finished sixth in the Owens Community College-Champion Credit Union Chevrolet with Norm Weaver trailing in seventh in the Dan Cava Toyota-Safety Clean-Lifeguard Medical Toyota. Weaver, who started 19th, also earned the Ed & Company Hard Charger Award.

Ash Hawkins finished eighth. Duane Bischoff and Mark Otting finished ninth and 10th respectively, the last two trucks on the lead lap.

The next event for the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series will be the Heritage Newspapers 100 at Flat Rock Speedway May 31st.
