Indianapolis, new headquarters for Gelles Racing

Front Royal, November 17, 2005. -- In its ongoing effort to become one of the prime ladder racing teams in North America, Gelles Racing announces the opening of a second headquarters in Indianapolis for its New Formula Atlantic team. Tim Jennings becomes Vice President of Operations at Gelles Racing and will manage both facilities in Indiana and Virginia. The Formula BMW USA FB2 cars will remain in the original Front Royal building. While testing is on going with 2006 hopefuls, the crews are outfitting both race shops with the latest technology.

"We have never been this busy in the off-season, declares team owner Bob Gelles. We needed to be close to the action with our new Atlantic program and Indianapolis was the best option. With two locations, we needed someone who could manage two racing programs and Tim Jennings became the logical choice as our on-site Vice President of Operations. Tim has a wealth of experience as a driver, manager and coach and proves a valuable addition to our team. He is supervising the outfitting of both facilities. With the high quality support infrastructure we purchased from Mo Nunn and Treadway, our Atlantic team will have a solid base to work with. We will be ready when the new cars roll in our shop next March."

Only new race cars next year

Not only will the team take new Atlantic race machines to the track in 2006 but the team has ordered new BMW FB2 machines for the next season. "Our drivers deserve the best, continues the team principal. They deserve fresh new material and that is what they will get. With the kind of testing we have done in the last weeks, we feel we have all the elements required to earn the championship."

Winter testing

Gelles Racing has tested many drivers for both series and will keep visiting racetracks around the United States with 2006 hopefuls. "We have tested many candidates who have posted very impressive times at different venues, said Gelles. No doubt we will come up with a slate of wining drivers."

With Jennings taking care of daily operations, Bob Gelles will focus more time looking for the quickest drivers around the globe, building a broader sponsor base and setting up the next season. "We will have more announcements in the coming weeks regarding new sponsors, new staffing and our 2006 driver line up. Much more to come."
