Team Stargate Worlds/US RaceTronics Announces Exciting New Driving Program

Team Stargate Worlds/US RaceTronics Arrive and Drive Experience Los Angeles, CA - (May, 11, 2010) -- With the cancellation of the 2010 Atlantic Championship season earlier this year, many of its teams were left with their cars and equipment, and not much else. The adversity of the cancelled season has led to the evolution of an exciting new program for the Team Stargate Worlds / US RaceTronics organization (TSGW/USRT). After much planning, TSGW/USRT is happy to announce the launch of The Arrive and Drive Experience.

Rather than allowing their inventory of Atlantic Swift 016.a race cars to go rusty and ignored, Team Principals Shane Seneviratne and Imran Safiulla have launched a new initiative aimed at their commercial partners and a broad spectrum of racing enthusiasts. With the TSGW/USRT Arrive and Drive Experience you don't have to be a professional race car driver, in order to get to experience the thrill of racing these modern race cars. The program features self paced testing, which utilizes an advanced Pi Sigma data acquisition system with TSGW/USRT instructors on hand to evaluate and help the client's performance.

Clients will drive a race car prepared Formula Atlantic Swift 016.a. at a professional racing level. The Cosworth 2.3 TSGW/USRT Staff L engine produces 300 bhp at 8000 rpm and is capable of speeds over 175 mph. From the carbon monocoque tub, the no- ift shift sequential gearbox, the PI Sigma data system with over 25 channels of data, and other incredible features, this car is built with both performance and driver safety in mind. With the car weighing in at 1,250 lbs, it yields an impressive power-to-weight ratio. What all this means to the driver is, a 0-60 mph time well within 3.2 seconds and a 0-100 mph time in 6 seconds. With over 2,000 lbs of downforce and cornering forces exceeding over 3g's, the Formula Atlantic car's minimum cornering speeds, and very efficient braking, will provide for a truly exhilarating experience.

"When the Atlantic Series decided to cancel the season, it left us in a bit of a bind for our junior program. We decided to develop a program that could create some new value for our existing/potential sponsors and give our racing fans a unique opportunity. There are a lot of driving experiences that exist in the marketplace but, none of them are able to simulate a true experience of an untamed modern race car," states Seneviratne. "With the availability of our Atlantic cars and our growing commercial platform with our Indy Car program, now is the perfect time to launch this exciting new initiative," adds Safiulla.

Whether the goal is to experience driving a real race car or to improve your existing racing skills, this individually customized Formula Atlantic driving experience is custom tailored to address each client's needs. No prior racing experience is necessary. All safety equipment, including a HANS device, will be provided during the session. All sessions will take place at Buttonwillow Raceway in Buttonwillow, California. This circuit is used by professional race teams throughout the country for driver and chassis development testing.
