With the ‘Am’ drivers back in the cars for the fourth and final race of the weekend, the Walkinshaw Porsche driver was running third when the 25-minute race kicked off. And he was still third when the first of two Safety Cars came out after Pete Major and Hector Lester tangled on the run to Turn 3.

But when the race restarted with 10 minutes to go Talbot didn’t stay in third for long. He got past the Mercedes of Max Twigg at the restart, and then pushed his way past leader and Race 2 winner Roger Lago on the way into Turn 11.

From there Talbot was never headed, a second Safety Car half a lap later – thanks to Ryan Millier going off at Turn 1 – meaning he only had to contend with a one-lap dash under green.

Twigg came home second, having followed Talbot past Lago on the lap following the first restart, while Lamborghini driver Lago was ultimately shuffled back to fourth behind the Audi of Geoff Emery thanks to a bold move at Turn 13 on the final-lap dash.

Yasser Shahin finished fifth, ahead of James Koundouris, Tony Walls, and Tony Bates.

Fraser Ross, meanwhile, was forced to fight back to 15th, having spun at the first corner after starting right at the front.
