With 100.000 euros to be assigned at each race weekend for an astounding total of 700.000 euros, Auto GP already has one of the biggest jackpots in motorsport. Despite this, the Series Organization has decided to go beyond, adding a prize GP2 Test to what's an already impressive package. In putting the GP2 test up for grabs, Auto GP will give its drivers a privileged path to a championship that in the last few seasons proved to be the best feeder series to F1, giving them a valuable help for their careers.
The GP2 test will be the prize for the Series champion but that's not all. Auto GP has also decided to create an Under 21 Trophy, and the driver who will top this special ranking will also get the prize test.
Enzo Coloni: "I believe that this prize GP2 test can be a great opportunity for our drivers, especially for the younger ones. That's why we decided to create the Under 21 Trophy: besides the already confirmed Venturini and De Jong we have many young talents that are in talks with teams to compete in Auto GP, and I think that this test can be the icing on the cake for them. It's a plus that we are adding on top of the prize money and the worldwide TV exposure granted by Eurosport and WTCC. Now we have a package that nobody can match".
