The Auto GP starting grid keeps growing as Charouz - Gravity Racing is the latest team to announce its presence in the series. The Czech-Louxembourg team will be strongly committed to the championship, having signed an agreement to field four cars.

Birth of a new team: The Charouz - Gravity Racing combines the qualities of two established structures, well known in the motorport world for their professionalism and dedication to excellence. With a 25 years experience in motorsport, Charouz Racing System is the most important and renowned racing outfit of Czech Republic, created and pushed forward by the great passion of its founder, Antonin Charouz. From 2002 on, the team has switched from national to international racing, and has managed to clinch great results in lots of different championships: it raced and took wins in F3000, then in A1 GP managing the team Czech Republic car, and in Le Mans Series, winning the championship with the Aston Martin works LM P1 car and coming 4th at the mighty 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Gravity Sport Management was set up in Luxembourg beginning of 2008 with the purpose of identifying, supporting and promoting young talents in the motorsport arena. With the backing of private investors, the structure begun its activities in the GP2 series, in the new Formula BMW Europe championship, in ADAC Masters as well as in the Moto GP 125cc class. Gravity Sport Management's goal and dedication is aimed at the professional development of young sports talents who have the willpower, strength, discipline and the champion's mindset and attitude that is the basis of all. Combined with an individualized programme and supported by specialists they provide the basis for development, growth and acceleration.

Competitive drivers: The team has already chosen two drivers: Jan Charouz (CZE) and Walter Grubmuller (AUT). Gravity will supply some of its drivers to fill up the team's line-up. Some surprise can be expected... All the drivers will start in official colours of RF1 Driver Programme. After DAMS, SuperNova, Durango and Trident Racing, Charouz - Gravity Racing is another prestigious team announcing its commitment to the series and to its revolutionary concept which gives the drivers the chance to compete for money, as every race has a prize fund of 200.000 euros to be shared between the six best classified drivers of the weekend.

The Auto GP Championship in a few words : The richest prize in European motorsport history awaits the drivers competing in the revolutionary new Auto GP championship. By pushing their talent to the maximum and beating their rivals on track, drivers can battle for their share of an unprecedented 1,200,000 Euro prize fund. This simple idea of racing for prize money is long established in American racing, and is now set to become reality in Europe when the series begins in 2010. This staggering prize is combined with a low cost formula that will give drivers a unique chance of success, whilst showcasing their talent and ultimate will to win. Each driver will be supported by a personal race engineer plus two mechanics who will work as his personal team throughout the season. Team will supply technical support throughout race weekends, whilst the spare parts will be managed centrally by Auto GP. The timetable will be held over two days, with two races each time. The 2010 calendar includes six venues : Portimao (Portugal), Imola (Italy), Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium), Magny-Cours (France), Brands Hatch (Great Britain) and Monza (Italy), from 16th April to 3rd October.
