Exciting win for Lancieri at the Bologna Motorshow
The 2006 winner of the usual F.3000 race held at the Bologna Motorshow is Gabriele Lancieri. Competing for Avelon Formula, he was able to beat the nine strong opponents in the circuit of the famous exhibition.
After winning against Gary Cester (Fisichella Motor Sport) in the quarter-finals and Vilander (Auto Sport Racing) in the semi-finals, he then met Fausto Ippoliti, at the wheel of the same Minardi car he drove in the last race of the Euroseries 3000.
The young Di Cienzo (FMS), was able to gain the third place as Toni Vilander was sanctioned for a jump start and therefore finished fourth. The Finish driver has nevertheless been very competitive in all the previous manches.
The competition started in the morning with a wet track but the weather become then nice so that the many spectators were able to enjoy the show.
