After a few months break, Gabriele Lancieri will wear his driving suit and helmet again to compete in the Euro 3000 Series; a series he already participated in last year. The race car driver from Imola has reached an agreement with the Uboldi Corsi team for the next race in Monza but both have the intention to extend this agreement till the end of the season. This agreement was possible thanks to Giovanni Minardi's intervention. Giovanni Minardi is Gabriele's new manager and manages GP Group, an agency specialized in sports management, event planning and communications.

Gabriele Lancieri was born on January 17, 1995 in Imola and started driving a cart at the age of seven. After a collection of wins in kart, Gabriele made his debut on a single seater in 1997 in the Federal Italian Formula 3 Championship. In 1999, he changed category and participated in the Italian Formula 3000 championship where he was 5th in the classifications and first amongst the debutants. The year after that,in the same category, Gabriele collected 4 podiums , one of which he was 1° in Vallelunga. In the following two seasons he participated in the prestigious International Formula 3000 Championship and in the Euro 3000 series.

Today, after his last race in October 2002 in Cagliari, Lancieri will return behind the wheel the 29th of June in Monza.

Gabriele Lancieri
"I'm very happy about racing again and I'm even happier about getting behind the wheel of an Uboldi Corsi team car. A team that I consider serious and well prepared. I thank my sponsors, Giovanni Minardi and the Uboldi Corsi team for the faith they have in me. I hope to repay them with a good performance in Monza."

David Uboldi, Uboldi Corse Team
"We didn't start the Euro 3000 Series this year because we didn't have the necessary technical competencies. We are sure to have found in Lancieri a motivated driver who is technically and competitively ready for the Euro 3000 Series . In a few days, we came to an agreement for Monza but this can be extended to the end of the season."

Giovanni Minardi
"I'm happy that Gabriele can start racing again. We now have to work on optimizing the budget we have at hand and finishing the season. This small break has increased his desire to get back on track and I believe that he can already do well in Monza."
