FISICHELLA MOTORSPORT CLOSES THE SEASON WITH A DOUBLE RESULT

Bonanomi wins the last race of the 2006 Euroseries 3000.

The title has been assigned this morning to Giacomo Ricci, but the Euroseries 3000 has finished with Marco Bonanomi's win (the sixth in 2006).

In the last season race, valid also for the Italian Championship, Fisichella Motorsport has gone on dominating, sending its drivers on the two highest steps of the podium. And so the Championship ends as it has begun, with the team of Giancarlo Fisichella leading. Bonanomi has ended his season with honour.

Race 2 has been briefly leaded by the poleman Marco Mocci (FSM), immediately overtaken by Gavin Cronje (Auto Sport). The leadership of the Southafrican has last only 7 laps. Then, at Tramonto turn, Marco Bonanomi has conquered the head. Cronje has began loosing positions: first with Bonanomi, and in the final phases with the two Euronova drivers Petrov and D'Ambrosio.

The final has been exciting because of the amazing battle between Fisichella Motorsport drivers, struggling for the leadership, and between the Euronova duo, trying to get on the third step of the podium, result achieved by the russian Petrov, who also gets the third placement in the Championship's rankings.

Points have been obtained also by Cronje and the brazilian Diego Nunes, debuting with Minardi At the end it has been great joy, with Ricci and Bonanomi celebrating together on the podium.
