The first day of testing the SF01 was successfully completed in Jerez, Spain with Vincenzo Sospiri clocking up 45 laps in the driver's seat.
Testing continues tomorrow with Jordan F1 driver Timo Glock behind the wheel. Minardi F1 test driver Bas Leinders will be in action on Thursday alongside newly-crowned Superfund Euro 3000 Champion Nicky Pastorelli and Austrian driver Mathias Lauda.
Vincenzo Sospiri:
"This has been a successful start to the test and we made good progress today. We have a big programme to complete with nineteen different areas to develop but our main aim today was to put miles on the car rather than chase fast times. The car is working well and suits the tight corners here at the Circuito de Jerez. I had a small problem with my shoulder but we still managed to put in some solid laps and collect valuable data for the next couple of days testing."
