Edoardo Piscopo takes runner-up spot in 2010 AutoGP
Edoardo Piscopo brought his 2010 AutoGP season to an end today at Monza, in the final round of this year's series. The 22-year-old Rome-based driver, lined-up by the Dams team, faced a tough weekend in battling for title with Romain Grosjean.
The start of Race 1 hasn't been really lucky, and an aggressive strategy couldn't help in a bid for the top. Edoardo ended up in 10th without having a true chance to stop his team- mate.
On Race 2, things got progressively better as he could climb up to 6th but, at that point, title hopes were gone. Second place was secured over fellow team-mate Duncan Tappy.
EDOARDO PISCOPO
"I'm a little bit disappointed for the outcome here at Monza, as I'd have liked to score some
better results, but I have to congratulate Romain for winning the championship. Running
against him has been really demanding, and I'm glad I came so close considering the huge
experience he has in GP2 and Formula 1. Being his team-mate helped me to be a better
driver though, like all the 2010 AutoGP season in general."
