TP Formula to be on 2011 Auto GP grid

Italian outfit TP Formula will line up two cars on the Auto GP 2011 starting grid. So, after Campos Racing, the Series hails the second new-entry in just a few days, something that clearly shows how big is the interest surrounding the Championship after an exciting 2010 and the big news announced for 2011.

The TP Formula entry brings in the Series the skills and knowledge of Luciano Traini, a team manager boasting 20 years of motorsport experience from F3 to F3000, and the energy guaranteed by Gianluca Pomozzi, the man who has been leading the team through the last years in the Italian F3, Formula Abarth and Euroseries 3000.

The Euroseries 3000 season, in 2009, was one of the best for the Italian outfit, that managed to climb on top of the standings with Fabrizio Crestani and was a title challenger until the very last race. This positive experience was undoubtedly one of the reasons for the team choosing to leave Formula 3 and to step-up to Auto GP, getting back on the international stage and challenging the best teams in motorsport.

Enzo Coloni: "I'm pleased to welcome TP Formula in the Series, not only because another good Italian team has decided to enter Auto GP but also because it's the second new-entry in just a few days. The attention towards our Championship is growing steadily, and there are many teams asking for a place on next season's grid.
