MADISON, IL (July 24, 2000) -- The Rayovac MAXIMUM® No. 11 Busch Grand National team with driver Hut Stricklin will sport CARQUEST Auto Parts signage at the CARQUEST 250 NASCAR Busch Grand National event, July 29th, at Gateway Int'l Raceway near St. Louis, MO.

Stricklin, 39, took over for Jason Jarrett last weekend at the race in Pikes Peak, CO. Stricklin began racing on local tracks in his home state of Alabama. Inspired by his father, Waymond Stricklin Sr., and racing legends Bobby and Donnie Allison, Stricklin, in his first full time Winston Cup season in 1989, earned one top-5 and four top-10 finishes. He has raced for such car owners as Junior Johnson and Kenny Bernstein.

"We are proud to associate with Rayovac Batteries and Jarrett-Farve Motorsports at the CARQUEST 250," commented Bob Barron, CARQUEST Marketing Manager. "Hut Stricklin is a top NASCAR driver and all our CARQUEST associates at Gateway will definitely be hoping to see the Rayovac Grand Prix in the winner's circle."
