STAMFORD, Conn. (August 21, 2000) -- World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc. (NMS: WWFE) will participate in its first ever NASCAR race on Friday, August 25, 2000 when Hermie Sadler drives the "WWF Summer Slam" Chevrolet in the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division event in Bristol, Tennessee.

World Wrestling Federation Entertainment, Inc., which currently sponsors NHRA Funny Car teammates Jim Epler and Terry Toliver, is excited about its first NASCAR race.

"Based on the support and success of our NHRA team, we have confirmed what we already assumed - a large, cross-section of race fans are also WWF fans," said Jim Byrne, Senior Vice President of Marketing. "We feel this race is a perfect opportunity for us to reach our target audience and promote Summer Slam, which is on Sunday following the race."

Hermie Sadler has expressed appreciation for the opportunity, "I have been a supporter of the World Wrestling Federation for a long time. To be a part of their first NASCAR race is a tremendous honor. And with Summer Slam being one of the biggest events of the year, we are excited about being a part of this promotion."

In support of the event, World Wrestling Federation superstars "Road Dogg" Jesse James, Faarooq and Bradshaw will be on hand for the race. The Superstars will be available for pictures and autographs prior to the race at the WWF Racing merchandise trailer.

World Wrestling Federation Summer Slam is slated for Sunday, August 27, 2000 live from Raleigh, North Carolina. The main event will be a Triple Threat Championship Match between current champion The Rock, Triple H, and Kurt Angle.
