CORVETTE RACING PRAISES HANS DEVICE

Atlanta, Georgia (October 9, 2007) - Jan Magnussen walked away from a massive side slapping crash on Saturday that wrecked the left front of his Corvette CR.6. This caused Corvette Racing program manager Doug Fehan to say, "There is no question that all of the safety systems, including the HANS Device, performed admirably."

The 110 mph incident happened just 20 minutes into this weekend's 1,000-mile long Petite Le Mans race at Road Atlanta and caused damage too extensive to repair. "I'm sore, but I'm OK," said Magnussen and added, "As far as wrecks go, this one ranks pretty high."

Oliver Gavin, Olivier Beretta and Max Papis went to take the sister Corvette C6.R to a class win. It was the sixth class title at Petit Le Mans for Corvette Racing and the win clinched a third consecutive GT1 drivers championship for Gavin and Beretta.
