CONCORD, N.C. (Feb. 4, 2005) - Kevin Druckenbrod, a 10-year veteran of the radio promotions industry, has joined Lowe's Motor Speedway's marketing and public relations department as a communications specialist.

In his new position, Druckenbrod, 29, will spearhead the speedway's electronic marketing; execute on- and off-site promotions with advertising partners; and manage the speedway's web site.

Druckenbrod previously worked in a variety of promotional capacities for Charlotte radio station WKKT. He most recently served as internet producer for WKKT's parent company, Clear Channel Charlotte, managing web sites for its five area radio stations.

"Kevin's experience with web-site promotions will enable us to reach race fans and automotive enthusiasts in ways we've never explored," said Scott Cooper, director of marketing and public relations for Lowe's Motor Speedway.

"We've restructured our department to enhance branding efforts for the speedway and its events," Cooper continued. "Kevin's expertise will allow us to promote races like the May 29 Coca-Cola 600 in non-traditional electronic media while also better communicating with our customers and maximizing our exposure through the Internet."

Druckenbrod earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The Cleveland, Ohio, native now resides in Huntersville, N.C.

"I'm anxious to use my background in electronic marketing to assist the speedway in communicating with race fans," said Druckenbrod. "We plan to utilize several non-traditional avenues to let people know about the speedway's numerous events."

Tickets for May 21 NASCAR NEXTEL All-Star Challenge, NASCAR racing's annual all-star event, and the May 29 Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series event are now on sale and can be obtained online at www.lowesmotorspeedway.com or by calling 1-800-455-FANS.

Lowe's Motor Speedway is the flagship facility of Speedway Motorsports, Inc. (NYSE:TRK), a leading marketer and promoter of motorsports entertainment in the United States.
