Brackley, UK -- 27 July 2009: The good times continued for T-Sport last weekend when Adriano Buzaid took his first Formula 3 victory at Spa. This is an important milestone for the team as it is the first time that a T-Sport car has taken pole position and gone on to take the race win.

The weekend started well when Adriano was the fastest man on track during the first free practice session. The team expected top results in the first qualifying session so they were disappointed when Adriano qualified 11th and Donington-winner Wayne Boyd was behind him in 13th position. In contrast, Gabriel Dias took a very confident pole position in the national class. Considering he broke his back in a Formula Renault race here last year it was a brave return for the young Brazilian.

The second qualifying session saw Adriano take pole position and Wayne do a great job to take third.

Race one didn't go quite according to plan. Wayne had a fuel pump failure while he was running in the top sixth. Adriano finished in third place but then received a one minute penalty for a start line infringement which put him out of the points. Gabriel also had fuel pump woes, which pushed him down to third place in the national class.

It was race two that proved memorable for all the right reasons. Adriano started from pole position, drove a mature race in very difficult weather conditions and brought his car home in first place. The rain came mid-way through the race and unfortunately Wayne fell foul of the weather, with him and the team gambling on wet tyres just before the rain stopped. Gabriel stayed out on slicks and took victory in the national class, making sure his future memories of Spa are good ones.

"We were really disappointed with race one," said T-Sport Team Principal, Russell Eacott. "Various faults cost us a lot of championship points for all the drivers. We redeemed ourselves in race two though and it was great to take such top results after what has been a very hard weekend at Spa."
