Front Row for Laverty at Croft

MonsterMob Ducati Supersport rider Michael Laverty returned to the front row with a vengeance when he set third fastest time at a sun-kissed Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire today.

The Toomebridge, Northern Ireland rider experimented with tyres throughout the two qualifying sessions before putting his fastest lap of the weekend in to land himself a front row start for the first time in two rounds.

"I'm happy enough with that. I was content with just getting on the front row of the grid but I still feel I have a bit more yet as I got a bit held up on my fast lap. We've got a good race set up so it's looking good for tomorrow" said Laverty who lies second in the British Supersport Championship going into tomorrow's tenth round.

Meanwhile for MonsterMob Ducati Superbike rider Sean Emmett it was another disastrous qualifying session and as a result the 34 year old Londoner will start tomorrow's two races from row three of the grid.

"It's disappointing really because we've done nothing different to when we tested here ten days ago, although the conditions are different. We just cannot get as quick even using a qualifying tyre. It's also quite difficult to pass here which doesn't help. So it's all to do in the races tomorrow. It's really frustrating" said Emmett who posted twelfth fastest time.

Team owner Paul Bird had the following to say: "It's fantastic for Michael to qualify on the front row and it looks like he's got his race head on this weekend. Regarding the Superbike, I just hope the racing goes better that the qualifying."
