AURORA, ILL. (February 8, 2002) - Freestyle Motocross sits atop the throne of Core Sports*, and by popular demand, the Mountain Dew National Championship of Freestyle Motocross, the first leg of the Vans Triple Crown of Freestyle Motocross, comes to Indianapolis March 29-30.

The Mountain Dew National Championship of Freestyle Motocross invites the best of the best in Freestyle Motocross including "Mad" Mike Jones, Carey Hart, Nate Adams, Clifford Adoptante, Tommy Clowers and more. The self-proclaimed FMX pilots perform eye socket rocking stunts coined: superman-seat-grabs, no footed cancans, lazy boys, tsunamis, cliffhangers, heart attacks, and the kiss of death. If the names of the stunts sound painful, the landings are even more intense.

The arena floor of the Conseco Fieldhouse will be transformed into a customized FMX dirt and custom ramp competition course, consisting of 2-4 vertical take-off ramps and a variety of landing ramps and zones.

This will be the first time these riders will visit Indianapolis for a Vans Triple Crown Series event. The raw talent of the riders, coupled with upbeat music, live announcers and live-event experience for all the senses have built the Vans Triple Crown of Freestyle Motocross into the nation's highest profile freestyle motocross series.

Indiana fans have yet another reason to see this event as the Mountain Dew National Championship of Freestyle Motocross will air on NBC on May 4, 2002 at 3:30 PM EST.

There are two weekend events, Friday and Saturday March 29-30 at 8PM. Gates open at 7 p.m. both nights. Kids tickets are available for $10. Special Gold Circle Seating is $35, Club Level Seating is $25 for adults and $10 for kids 2-12, with additional reserved seating available at $20 for adults and $10 for kids 2-12.

Tickets for the event went on sale Saturday, February 9th, and may be purchased at the Conseco Fieldhouse Box Office, and by calling 317-239-1000, or in person at any Ticketmaster Outlet including Kroger, Karma Records, and LS Ayer stores, or online at www.ticketmaster.com and www.pacefmx.com

Conseco Fieldhouse is located between Delaware and Pennsylvania Streets, at Georgia Street, in the heart of downtown Indianapolis and just a short walk from Circle Centre, numerous downtown hotels and restaurants, and the RCA Dome. The addition of Conseco Fieldhouse makes Georgia Street the entertainment hub of downtown Indianapolis.
