In conjunction with launching a brand new website layout and design, MX Sports announced today that online registration is now available for the 2015 Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross (RCSX), sanctioned by AMA. The biggest two-day amateur supercross event on the planet returns to the coveted grounds of Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, March 8 and Monday, March 9, 2015 with the sixth running of the prestigious RCSX amateur event.
"Daytona International Speedway is a special place," said Tim Cotter, Director of MX Sports. "The racers and families that participate in the sixth annual event will not be disappointed. The G.O.A.T has a whole new track design in store for us."
Heats and qualifiers
Following a supercross format, RCSX will use heat races and last chance qualifiers to seed the field of riders into a main event in each class (with the exception of WMX).
"I'm really excited to return to Daytona International Speedway for the sixth straight year in 2015," said 15-Time Champion, Ricky Carmichael. "I love hanging out with the riders and families and to watch these guys and girls leave it all on the track in their journey to a number one plate."
The all-new RaceDaytona.com website features an improved layout and design that allows users to find the most important and relevant RCSX event information online. New features have also been added to the website in order to better serve racers and families as they plan for a big weekend of racing. Additional features include: a comprehensive list of Frequently Asked Questions, a detailed weekend schedule, easy navigation and an interactive list of nearby hotels and hospitals that can be quickly accessed from a mobile device.
Amateur riders and their families are encouraged to come down early and camp on the Daytona infield, where hookups are available. Move in, sign up and camping begin on Friday, March 6, so amateur families can watch the pros compete on Saturday night in the Daytona Supercross by Honda, as each rider's entry comes with a ticket to the Pro Supercross event.
