Powerboat P1 USA: Deegan + Fountain - Legends Unite!

CHARLOTTE, NC - The Powerboat P1 Marketing Alliance [PMA] makes a splash by connecting iconic FMX superstar Brian Deegan with Legendary boat builder Fountain Powerboats, as Deegan announces his entry into NASCAR at the Coca-Cola 600, Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Reggie Fountain and Brian Deegan world of Freestyle Motocross [FMX] and he is the most decorated Freestyle Motocross rider in X-Games history. He has announced that he is joining the ultra competitive NASCAR ranks with the NTS Motorsports driver development program.

According to Larry Lubin of Sponsorship Advisors, Deegan will be joining the team with the objective of moving through the ranks of NASCAR to Sprint Cup as quickly as possible. Deegan will become part of a two-car program that NTS fields, along with current driver Brennan Newberry.

Deegan's team represents the first marine industry connection into more "traditional" motorsports for the Powerboat P1 Marketing Alliance [PMA], by introducing the Metal Mulisha to offshore powerboat fans by way of the legendary boat builder Fountain Powerboats. The alliance is a consortium of racing series, teams, and sponsors from various categories that seek to combine their resources and demographic similarities to provide non-traditional Reggie Deegan Car Boat motorsports marketing connections. The goal of the PMA is to provide the corporate world with a larger footprint with regard to powerboat racing than can be offered with a single team or series, allowing them to reach a much larger audience base than would otherwise be possible. The program provides a "performance based" sponsorship platform where participants in the program receive value based upon the value received by the sponsors. This allows sponsors to see measurable returns related to the marine motorsports market, and value future "traditional" sponsorships accordingly.

"The PMA is a win-win for everyone involved," according to Martin Sanborn, Director of the program for Powerboat P1 USA. "The individual racing series and teams benefit as the products or services of the sponsor members are utilized," he continued. "In the economic climate of today, companies need to insure a quantifiable return for their 'sponsorship' investment, and a performance based program like the PMA is the perfect vehicle to attain that goal."

"The connection between Deegan and Fountain was a natural for the Charlotte Motor Speedway announcement," according to Fountain CEO, Bill Gates. "Deegan is a legend in his field, as is Reggie Fountain in his, and as a manufacturer with our base in North Carolina, Charlotte was the prefect place announce the new relationship."

Fountain Powerboats looks to expand their current customer base by introducing Deegan's Metal Mulisha to the world of offshore power boating. As part of the PMA, Deegan looks to benefit from the relationship as his fans become involved with Fountain. According to Sanborn, that is the essence of how the PMA works.
