Sara Williams to tackle Wales Rally GB

21 year old Sara Williams from Brecon has been invited to contest this years Wales Rally GB National event! Sara has been chosen from an oversubscribed entry list for the popular National section on this, the final round of the World Rally Championship, and will run seventh on the road! Experienced Patrick Walsh, from Aberystwyth, will co-drive.

Sara has been very successful recently as she has continued to adjust to her Brecon Motors and Brecon Car Rental supported Subaru Impreza N12b which also receives support from Millers Oils and Ian Jones Tyres. After finishing eighth overall on the recent Cambrian Rally Sara then finished a fantastic third overall on the recent GMF Time Trial in the Sweet Lamb Rally Complex! This weekend the young rally talent will attend the John Easson shootout where she has been selected as a finalist. The prize for this prestigious award will be financial assistance towards her rallying in 2011.

It's been an amazing few weeks. The Cambrian was my best ever BTRDA rally result, and then I had some testing time on last weekends time trial where it was great to come 3rd. This combined with news that I had been selected for the John Easson award shootout was amazing. This morning I received the news that I was doing Wales Rally GB and my week has just got so much better!

The recent GMF Time Trial saw crews tackle a total of six stages throughout the day. After struggling with grip early on Sara made some slight changes to her Subaru and by the end of the event was overjoyed to finish third overall!
