Pritchard prepared for title showdown

Young Builth Wells based Jason Pritchard heads to this weekend's International Rally of Yorkshire lying third overall in the 2010 Dulux Trade MSA British Rally Championship! This position is all the more impressive considering that the 22 year old only made the step up to four wheel drive machinery in March!

Since taking delivery of his Prodrive built Subaru Impreza N2010, which is run with support from North Road Garage, Jason, who is the reigning two wheel drive champion, has improved in leaps and bounds. A number of strong results, including his first BRC podium on the Isle of Man International Rally, see Jason and co-driver Robbie Durant head to Yorkshire with a shot at the title. However the pair are under no illusions and instead will focus their attention on gaining more experience of the car rather than pushing for outright victory.

Jason; 2010 was always a learning year and although we have had some stunning results we mustn't forget that I still have very limited mileage in the car, especially on gravel! Rally Yorkshire is a tricky event and I know the pace at the front will be fast but Robbie and I will just run our own rally again and see where we finish.

The 2010 International Rally of Yorkshire features a number of changes. The Rally Headquarters have moved to the seaside town of Scarborough and the rally also includes a mammoth 16 mile stage through the world famous Langdale Forest on Friday night. On Saturday the crews will tackle a further 66 miles of high speed rallying action before returning to Scarborough for a ceremonial finish.
