D'ALBERTO READY FOR ORAN PARK RETURN

Tony D'Alberto heads to Sydney's Oran Park Raceway this weekend confident of retaining his lead in the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series.

With two wins, a second and a third under his belt, D'Alberto has been the best performed driver in the series to date.

Oran Park has mixed feeling for D'Alberto after leading the final last year only to be given a drive-through penalty for a pre-race rule breach.

"We had really good speed here last year," Tony said.

"And while we didn't get the result we wanted I am confident that we will have speed and be in the mix this weekend."

Having only one race result outside the top-three this year, a fifth in the reverse-top-ten at Queensland Raceway, D'Alberto has had his most consistent year to date.

"It is all about going out there and keeping a cool head," he said.

"The team is working really hard to make sure that I have a car capable of winning and I will be doing my best to reward them for their efforts."

It will be a busy weekend for the team with two practice sessions on Friday, Qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 and 3 on Sunday.
