Daytona24: TRG fundraiser news 2011-01-27

TRG'S 24 HOUR WEBCAST RETURNS TO DAYTONA
Spending the Weekend with Liz, Version 2.0

Daytona Beach, Fl (January 25, 2011)- For fans of the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, North America's greatest 24-hour race, the ability to stay part of the action for the whole race just got better.

Off the heels of doing a similar program last year, TRG will be back with their exclusive "Pit Pass" webcast (www.theracersgroup.com/PitPass), which will run during all 24 hours of this weekend's race, starting at 3:30PM EST on Saturday, January 29th. TRG, the famed Porsche racing team with three victories and 11 podiums at the race, is long known for their innovative and unique approaches to engage the fans. Following a similar program in 2010 which was met with great response and viewership, the team has elected to bring it back under the permission of GRAND-AM Road Racing and SPEEDtv.

Hosted by Liz Moses and featuring occasional color commentary by show Producer Sean Heckman of The Media Barons, TRG's "Pit Pass" will be a way for all fans to follow the challenges through the eyes of one team live as the race unfolds. With features including a live video feed and chat rooms to ask questions on the spot, the webcast will follow all of TRG's entries at this year's race, including the opportunity to interact and ask questions of several of the team's star drivers, including: Andy Lally, Spencer Pumpelly, Kenny Wallace, Kevin Buckler and more. New and improved for this year, the webcast will also feature pre-produced featurettes, and a number of new initiatives.

New for this year as well, the show will pay special attention to fundraising and awareness for the Children's Tumor Foundation, the primary focus of TRG's no. 4 car. Using motorsports as a way to raise awareness and donations for children with neurofibromatosis, there will be a special movement for viewers to visit www.racing4research.org to donate.

For Team Owner Kevin Buckler, the return of TRG's webcast is a welcome addition to the team's marketing and presentation at the endurance classic.

"TRG has always prided itself on really engaging with our fans and making them a part of the experience," stated Buckler. "This raises a fan's involvement to a whole new level, and I really thank Liz for staying up so long to make it happen. I just hope no one asks me to do an interview at 3AM, that might be a memory I don't want to keep!"

For Liz Moses, the opportunity to return is an exciting one.

"Last years was as exhilarating as it was exhausting," stated Moses. "To talk for all 24 hours is a really, really long time but well worth it because of the positive and enthusiastic response of all the fans. I hope everyone returns to watch it this year!"

The webcast can be seen throughout the week at www.theracersgroup.com/PitPass, and iPhone users will also be able to download a live viewing application as well. Producer Sean Heckman will also be broadcasting as "dress rehearsals" during all team practices and qualifying sessions for those interested, and all fans are welcome to tune in. The broadcast itself will start shortly before the green flag at approximately 3:20PM on Saturday, January 29. The first practice begins at 10AM on Thursday, January 27th.
