Dakar: Pramac Group to sponsor Mercedes MaxData Team

PRAMAC GROUP AND OFFICIAL MERCEDES-BENZ MAXDATA TEAM TOGETHER IN THE 2007 DAKAR RALLY

Pramac Group is proud to annunce its collaboration with the Official Mercedes-Benz MaxData Team as a Official Sponsor in the 2007 Dakar Rally.

German driver Ellen Lohr and French Antonia De Roissard, two women competing in the Car Raids category, will drive a Mercedes-Benz Class M bearing the mark of the Pramac Generators brand. The French-German pairing will fly the Pramac colors in a race where power and determination are key, something which is characterized by Pramac. The Pramac Group, headquartered in Siena-Italy, is pleased to associate its brand with Merceds-Benz what is sure to be one in the most challenging Raids ever.

Dakar is a unique racing competition with an irresistible charm. Born in the 1978, the Dakar Rally represents the foremost challenge for drivers and their vehicles, and has several stages and special tests which will put its competitors to the ultimate test of speed and endurance while experiencing life in the heart of Africa. The enemies that will face the Mercedes-Benz MaxData Team time and again will be deep sand, the Sahara desert, mud, quicksand, and the heat of Africa.

Reliability, perseverance, and performance are some of the key elements in this enthralling rally which match perfectly with the attributes of the Pramac products.

Pramac, as Title Sponsor and co-owner of the Pramac D'ANTIN MotoGP team, will line up two Ducati GP7 800cc in the new era of the top class in the 2007 MotoGP World Championship. The riders will be the Brazilian Alex Barros and the German Alex Hofmann.
