Marc Coma stage 12 report

Stage 12. Marc Coma gets his fifth stage victory

Marc Coma has made a spectacular comeback in the last sector by 37 seconds beating his nearest rival Cyril Despres. Joan Pedrero remains in the top five after finishing in eighth place - +23:19 - the complicated special of today.

After a very difficult special due to weather variability and the slippery terrain through which it passed twelfth stage of the Dakar, the AMV rider Marc Coma for the fifth time was the fastest of the day. After 555 competitive kilometers, Coma was 37 seconds faster than his closest rival, Frenchman Cyril Despres and 7 minutes and 21 seconds the Portuguese Helder Rodrigues.
