Organisers of the world-famous Pikes Peak International Hillclimb have ruled that next year’s event will not include motorbikes while “analysis for long-term viability is conducted”.
Four-time Pikes Peak Hillclimb motorbike class winner Carlin Dunne was killed in Sunday’s 97th edition of the race. He was 36.

This year's Pikes Peak Hill Climb features 162 competitors, and the most competitive unlimited class in recent memory.
The postponement was connected to Waldo Canyon fire. Barring any further threats to safety, the Race to the Clouds will run on August 12th.
