DTM returns to Germany
Following two foreign races, the DTM returns to its German home next weekend. The fourth race of the season if Europe's most popular touring car series takes place 130 kilometres south of Berlin, on the EuroSpeedway Lausitz. Audi factory drivers Mattias Ekstrom, who gave the new Audi A4 DTM its first race victory at Adria International Raceway in Italy, is currently just two points behind leader Christijan Albers. Best placed German driver after three races his his team mate Martin Tomczyk. The organisers are expecting a crowd of over 70,000 spectators for the race weekend. Audi works driver Emanuele Pirro could already taste the enthusiasm of the East German for the DTM on Saturday: About 15,000 spectators watched the demonstration laps of the DTM cars downtown Berlin.
SPEED GT:
Audi 1-2 victory at Lime Rock
In the second round of the North American SPEED GT World Challenge, Randy Pobst and Michael Galati managed to give Audi a 1-2 victory with their pair fo Audi RS 6 Competition races. The Audi drivers had laid the foundation for Champion Racing's first success of the season already in qualifying: Pobst and Galati set the fastest times right at the beginning of the session, coming back to the pits immediately afterwards and saving their tyres for the race - a strategy that paid off on the winding track, taking full advantage of the quattro drive.

Audi Pilot Ekblom on the podium again
Audi driver Fredrik Ekblom stepped on the podium also in the Swedish Touring Car Championship's (STCC) third race weekend. After finishing sixth in the first race, the defending champion took third place in the second heat following a fierce fight with Championship leader Richard Goransson and Tomas Engstrom.
24 Hour Countdown:
Countdown to Le Mans and Nurburgring runs
24h Le Mans/Nurburgring: The countdown to the two 24-hour races at Le Mans and Nurburgring, held at the same time this year, has begun for the Audi teams. Audi Sprot UK Team Veloqx will complete a last test on Tuesday (1 June) at Snetterton beforte sending the Audi R8 cars to Le Mans. For the teams, the Le Mans week starts on Monday (7 June) with scutineering. The next 14 days will be especially stressing for Team Abt Sportsline, which competes in next weekend's DTM race at EuroSpeedway before racing in the Nurburgring 24 Hours just a week after.

Best ETCC result for SEAT
For the second consecutive time the SEAT factory team has captured the pole position in the FIA European Touring Car Championship (ETCC): After Jordi Gene hat secured the first ever pole for SEAT at Hockenheim, is team mate Rickard Rydell was fastest in qualifying at Brno (Czech Republic). Finishing second in the first race, the Swede also managed to achieve SEAT's bester ever race result in the European Championship. In the second head, the Toledo was the best front-wheel-drive car yet again: Frank Diefenbacher finished third, consequently giving SEAT another podium result.
