Audi R8 LMS wins in the European Championship

FIA GT3: Audi R8 LMS victories are part of everyday life in the national championships. The new AUDI AG GT3 sportscar has now also taken its first win at international level: The Germans Christopher Mies and Christopher Haase convincingly won both races of the FIA GT3 European Championship at Portimao (Portugal) with the team Phoenix Racing Audi R8 LMS and, in doing so, took the overall championship lead. Nicolas Armindo and Cesar Campanico (Team Rosberg) moved up to second overall after taking fifth position in the first race.

Team Kolles shines with fight back

LMS: Team Kolles shone at the Le Mans Series finale at Silverstone with a stirring fight back. After Christijan Albers slid-off in qualifying the Netherlander and his Danish team mate Christian Bakkerud fought through the field from the last row of the grid in their Audi R10 TDI to finish fifth. At the end of the 1000-kilometer race the two were only one lap behind the winner. The second Kolles-R10 finished sixth.

More points for Rasmus Marthen

JTCC: Rasmus Marthen scored more points four weeks after taking his first victory in the Swedish Junior Touring Car Championship (JTCC). In the races at Knutstorp the 16-year old Swede representing the junior team of Audi factory driver Mattias Ekstrom took fifth and fourth places with his Audi A3. Marthen holds seventh place in the championship going into the final weekend at Mantorp Park.
