European Le Mans Series: the 458’s dominate at Imola

The battle among the 458’s and with the Porsche of the Proton Competition team was very tight, with multiple and reciprocal overtakes.

First, second and third step of the podium in GTC category. Position 1 and 3 in LMGTE. The outcome under the chequered flag of the “4 Hours of Imola” for the AF Corse Ferrari 458’s Italia – or for the 458’s managed by AF Corse – speaks for itself in the European Le Mans Series.

In GTC, top position for Rino Mastronardi, Francesco Castellacci and Stuart Hall in the AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia #62 ahead of car number 63 driven by Giorgio Roda, Ilya Melnikov and Marco Cioci. The third step in the podium went to car number 64 driven by Mads Rasmussen, Filipe Barreiros and Francisco Guedes.

GTE class

In the GTE class, victory for Alexander Talkanitsa, Alexander Talkanitsa Junior and Alessandro Pier Guidi in the AT Racing 458 Italia #56 (managed by AF Corse). The battle among the 458’s and with the Porsche of the Proton Competition team was very tight, with multiple and reciprocal overtakes. In the end, the car of the AT Racing team took top honours while the Formula Racing Ferrari 458 Italia (driven by AF Corse) with Johnny Laursen, Mikkel Mac and Andrea Rizzoli earned third spot. Fifth spot for the AF Corse Ferrari #55 driven by Duncan Cameron, Matt Griffin and Aaron Scott. In seventh position, Peter Mann, Matteo Cressoni and Raffaele Giammaria.

After two rounds, in the GTE Team classification, AT Racing is first with 32 points, Talkanitsa, Talkanitsa Junior and Pier Guidi lead the GTE Drivers standing; Cameron, Griffin and Scott are fifth (25 points), Rizzoli, Laursen and Mac has the seventh place (23), Mann, Cressoni and Giammaria are tenth (6). In the GTC Team, AF Corse has the second position. Barreiros, Guedes and Rasmussen are second in the GTC Drivers classification (33 points), Castellacci, Mastronardi, Hall have the third spot (25). Roda, Melnikov and Cioci in forth position (19).
