Snoras Spyker Squadron and Jarek Janis ended the official test with 3rd fastest time

Team Snoras Spyker Squadron entered new Le Mans Series season at official test days held at Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet (08-09/03/2009). Two of three team's drivers, Czech pilot Jarek Janis and his Dutch colleague Jeroen Bleekemolen got an opportunity to test the brand new blue and yellow Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R. Both drivers gradually improved their times and at the final test session on Monday afternoon they achieved third place in LMGT2 class.

While on Sunday the car suffered with some technical problems, on Monday the team was encouraged by the performance and reliability of the car. There weren't any significant issues, so the team could concentrate on finding the ideal set-up. Snoras Spyker Squadron acquiered a solid achievement in the most numerous starting field of LMGT2 class. On Monday morning the team was in top 6, on Monday afternoon even in top 3.

"On Monday we did better than before. The car was running without any major problem, so we could work on the set-up. We tried a few different set-ups and steadily improved our times. After the Monday testing session all the team was satisfied. This year's times are in comparison with the last year's times better about two seconds per lap. However, the comparison to the competition we wouldn't see until the first race. At the testing session nobody knows if our rivals push hard or not," says Jarek Janis, who competed with the Spyker already in Le Mans Series 2007. The driver has been also pleasantly suprised at the car's evolution. "The car is more stable and the engine is better. I'm looking forward to the first race in Barcelona."

Third team's driver Jeroen Bleekemolen will take part just in 24 Hours of Le Mans race (13-14/06/2009). In the Le Mans Series Jarek Janis will share the Spyker C8 Laviolette GT2R with Tom Coronel, who wasn't able to be at first official test session because of his start in the opening round of World Touring Cars Championship (WTCC) in Curitiba, Brazil.
