Joel Camathias will compete for James Watt Automotive in the remaining LMS races and in the fascinating FIA GT 24 Hours race of Spa.

After the superb showing at Monza JWA are very pleased to announce that Joel Camathias (26) will join the JWA driver line up for the balance of the LMS season Nürburgring, Spa, Silverstone and Interlagos, Brazil.

Joel is the reigning 2006 LMS GT2 champion and will certainly strengthen the driver line up. His experience and desire to do well will bring dividends.

Joel Camathias also brings with him a Pirelli development tyre deal putting JWA alongside the works GT2 Porsche of Marc Lieb and Xavier Pompidou.

JWA Team principal James Watt commented:

"After our great run in Monza we are virtually guaranteed championship points at each event and with the benefit of Pirelli tyres if the luck breaks our way then podium places are a real possibility".

Spa 24 Hours

JWA are also very pleased to announce that their Spa entry has been confirmed. The race in the Ardennes Mountains of Belgium will be on 28th and 29th July 2007. This will be the first 24 hours race for JWA since running a pair of Group N Honda Civics at the Nürburgring 24 hours in 1989.

Joel will be joining the regular drivers Paul Daniels and Dave Cox. JWA are also in contact with a fourth driver who is one of the quickest competitors currently in British GT. Sorry no names but as ever more soon.

"I worked for the first time with JWA at this year LMS Monza round and I can say that it was since a long time that I didn`t see such a great passion and a really serious and professional structure, then I`m really happy to be part of that.

Moreover we finalize a deal to have the development Pirelli Tyres, so I can`t be more satisfied.

That said I`d like to thank Mr. Watt [JWA Team Owner], Mr. De Cancellis [Pirelli Circuit Manager], and of course Mr. Redolfi [Autorlando-Sport Team Owner] to let me drive for JWA alongside my main program in the International GT Open".
