Stefan Mucke in double booking -- Aston-Martin-Works driver is testing the DBR9 and LMP1 together -- "Full Schedule at Paul-Ricard-Racing-Track"

Berlin (rol) A double booking is scheduled for the German Aston-Martin-Works driver Stefan Mucke next Sunday and Monday (7th /8th of March). The Berlin will test drive the Aston Martin DBR9 GT1 as well as the closed LMP1-Sportscar-Prototype on the High-speed-Track Paul Ricard near Le Castellet (France). "I am looking forward to complete this diversified and full test program ", tells the 28-year-old, that will complete the 2010 season for the Team Young Driver AMR (Paderborn/Copenhagen) in the new FIA GT1 World Championship.

"After we sorted out a couple of things in our tests at Portimao in Portugal at the beginning of February, we are now aiming to make a few more steps forward. This could be the last test before the start of the world championship middle of April, because the cars will be transferred by ship to United Arab Emirates for season opening", said Stefan Mucke, who is sharing the cockpit of the DBR9 GT1 at Young Driver AMR with the Dane Christoffer Nygaard.

In the LMP1-Car, in which the Berlin gained the championship title in the Le Mans Series (LMS) last year, Stefan Mucke will start preparation for the next steps. "Simultaneously this is a preparation for the 24-hour-race of Le Mans too", he says. The Berlin already sat in the LMP1-Racer on 23rd and 24th of February -- at tests of the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) at Sebring/USA. On the bumpy Airport track he ran fastest time on both days, with only a few laps.

"The test has been very important mainly for the calibration of the car and for my Aston-Martin-teammate Adrian Fernandez, because during winter time there have been necessary adjustments for the regulations", says Stefan Mucke. About the race track at Sebring, which was new terrain for him he tells us: "It was a very interesting experience to drive on this traditional racing track."
