Hereby we announce that the date of the 24H Eurospeedway is moved on to 15-16-17 august 2008!
Why did we move the date?
- Original date of 19-20 April coincides with a lot of other
races;
- The date was too early in the season so most of teams weren't
ready and/or had to start in other races
- A 24H race in summer, is much more attractive for all parties,
teams and fans
- August is the perfect period to camp on the Eurospeedway
campsite, positioned directly behind the grandstand
Feedback from teams
Since our return from Dubai we listened carefully to the feedback we got from all the teams and drivers and adjusted the date to a more convenient time of the year. Now everyone who is interested is able to participate at the 24H Eurospeedway and consequently the 24hSeries.
Offering the best service to all teams and drivers Creventic strives for organizing high quality race events and offering the best service to all teams and drivers. We believe that the new date will not only be more convenient in terms of time but also weather-wise. With temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius, a 24h race will be more pleasant for the whole team.
Included in the agreement with Eurospeedway to host a 24h race, is the official permission of the local authorities to race during the night. However due to the strict noise limitations, the night-permission is limited to the night of Saturday to Sunday.
Although it is not allowed to have a night-practice on Friday evening, during the day there will be plenty of time for free practice and qualification. Additional there will be a warming-up session on Saturday morning.
Date for 24H Hungaroring
Consequently the new August date for 24H Eurospeedway will have impact for the planned date of 24h race at Hungaroring in Hungary. Currently we are negotiating with the Hungaroring management. We expect to have more news shortly.
