Impressions after second qualifying:

Jan Seyffarth, HARIBO Racing Team-AMG #88: “Qualifying is in the books and we are super happy. We are in first place with the #88 car, the car that still needed to qualify. Now, we have both cars (#8 and #88) in the Top 30 qualifying. That was extremely important for us. We still tried something on the set-up and are very happy with what we have achieved. Everyone is feeling really well in the Mercedes-AMG GT3. In today’s qualifying, Max (Maximilian Götz) has done a mega job. Now, we are looking forward to Top 30 qualifying and we are keeping our fingers crossed that we are among the front runners there as well.”

Stefan Mücke, AMG-Team HTP Motorsport #30: “Basically, we are very happy. We had very mixed conditions: rain yesterday, dry today. We have a good balance for the race and we are looking forward to the Top 30 qualifying. Let’s wait and see where we end up there. We were able to gain experience in all conditions and we are ready for the race!”

Dirk Müller, AMG-Team Black Falcon #9: “We are all very happy. With our number #9 car, it was a bit tight, as we hadn’t yet secured the blue flashing light for the Top 30 qualifying. Like every year, the weather is playing a major role. Yesterday, it was very wet and so it was initially this morning. Towards the end, we went for another flying lap. That was very exciting. The car was great. Now, we wish Maro a lot of fun and good luck for tonight’s Top 30 qualifying.”

Daniel Keilwitz, Mann-Filter Team Zakspeed #75: “Making it into the Top 30 qualifying was our goal and we have succeeded. From that perspective, we are very happy with the two qualifying sessions of yesterday and today. We are coping very well with the Mercedes-AMG GT3. Let’s wait and see what tonight will bring. I have heard that rain has been forecast.”

Starting number #31, AMG-Team HTP Motorsport has been withdrawn by the team and therefore will not start in the race.

Norbert Brückner, team principal,AMG-Team HTP Motorsport: “For strategic reasons, we decided only to focus on our other two Mercedes-AMG GT3, especially because of the weather conditions that are expected.”
