With the 44th edition of the ADAC Zurich 24h-Race at the Nürburgring, one of the greatest challenges for man and machine is taking place this week. Following an intensive test program, the AMG-Team HTP Motorsport looks ahead to compete with three Mercedes-AMG GT3 at probably the most famous race track in the world.

The 24h-Race promises to be a great race once again with 160 teams and more than 600 pilots at the start. The German squad proved at the six-hour qualification race, that the cars from the AMG-Team HTP Motorsport are strong contenders for the race in the legendary “Green Hell”. Maximilian Buhk, Dominik Baumann, Christian Vietoris and Thomas Jäger went to claim victory. With the great result and further good finishes at the VLN races, the cars #29 and #30 have already confirmed their participation in the Top-30 Qualifying.

AMG-Team HTP Motorsport competes with the following three Mercedes-AMG GT3:

#29 Christian Vietoris (GER), Marco Seefried (GER), Christian Hohenadel (GER), Renger Van der Zande (NDL)

#30 Dominik Baumann (A), Stefan Mücke (GER), Maximilian Buhk (GER), Thomas Jäger (GER)

#31 Christian Vietoris (GER), Christian Hohenadel (GER), Renger Van der Zande (NDL)

"We are looking forward to the 24h-Race this year“, says Norbert Brückner, Team Principal AMG-Team HTP Motorsport. “The race on the Nordschleife is something very special and one of the highlights of the season. This year, it will be a very competitive race, because most of the manufacturers are competing with their new race cars. We are well prepared with our Mercedes-AMG GT3, we have a strong driver line-up, a great package, the team works well together – we are ready for the challenge.”

Action will start on Thursday, 26th May 2016, with Free Practice at 3:45pm. The decisive qualifying will start on Friday, 27th May 2016, from 7:50pm. The race starts on Saturday, 28th May 2016, at 3:30pm.
