Spa Francorchamps, Belgium - 27 July 2013: Practice, qualifying and warm up are over at Spa Francorchamps and the next time the three Marc VDS Racing Team BMW Z4 GT3 cars take to the track will be to line up on the grid for the start of the 24 Hours of Spa, the biggest GT race of the season.

The #4 car, driven by Nick Catsburg, Henri Moser and Markus Palttala, will line up for the start on the second row of the grid, after Catsburg put in a strong performance in the two-lap Superpole shootout to qualify fourth. Maxime Martin qualified the #3 car, which he drives alongside Bas Leinders and Yelmer Buurman in eighth position. Andrea Piccini, Dirk Müller and Jens Klingmann will start from 24th position on the grid, after missing out on Superpole by the narrowest of margins.

The 24 Hours of Spa is, without doubt, one of the toughest races in the world. The nine Marc VDS drivers won't just be racing against 65 other cars on track; they'll also be racing against the track itself, not to mention the fatigue that sets in when you're racing on the limit and around the clock.

While the cars have been prepared to the most exacting standards ready for the challenge of the 24 Hours of Spa, the same is also true of the drivers. All of the Marc VDS drivers are at peak physical fitness ahead of the race, but energy levels drop even during a single stint behind the wheel at race pace.

This year the Marc VDS Racing Team are fuelled by ARMA Energy, with the company's distinctive yellow and black branding appearing prominently on all three cars. But the partnership goes much futher than simple branding. Both drivers and crew will take advantage of ARMA Energy drinks and snacks to provide a much needed energy boost during the race, to ensure optimum performance throughout.

ARMA Energy has supplied to the team their range of sweet tasting energy drinks and energy boosting savoury snacks for the 24 Hours of Spa. This combination of sweet and savoury allows drivers and mechanics to alternate as necessary, which is far more palatable over a 24 hour period.

More contrast to the classic image of energy products is the all-natural flavour of ARMA Energy's drink - it has real cane sugar and contains guarana, taurine and caffeine as well as B-vitamins and ginseng. It adds up to a powerful and concentration sharpening punch.

Bas Leinders, Team Principal
"We're ready. We've been preparing for this race for months, even before the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, so I think we are more than ready. You always want to stay out of trouble in a 24-hour race - or any race - and the further forward you are on the grid the better. So it's great to see two cars in the top 10, and the other inside the top 25. For a 24-hour race you need a huge amount of energy so to have ARMA Energy onboard with their energy drink and snacks is perfect for us. It's especially cool that we can get power from the snacks too, because having just sweet flavours for energy products can get repetitive over 24 hours!"

Scott Sepkovic: ARMA Energy
"We've been involved with the Marc VDS Racing Team for a number of years in Moto2, so it's great to be able to extend the relationship onto four wheels. The three BMW Z4 GT3 cars that the team will run in this weekend's 24 Hours of Spa will feature ARMA Energy branding for the first time. It's an exciting partnership, especially as it kicks off at the biggest event on the GT racing calendar. But the relationship isn't just about branding. Racing around the clock at a circuit like Spa Francorchamps is demanding on the drivers, both physically and mentally, which is exactly what our ARMA Energy range of products was designed to support. I'm confident that the Marc VDS Racing Team, fuelled by ARMA Energy, will be a force to be reckoned with this weekend."
