Phoenix unveils stunning Bathurst livery
Audi-backed squad Phoenix Racing has unveiled the stunning livery that its Bathurst 12 Hour challenger will carry this weekend.
The German squad is running a factory-supported Audi R8 LMS GT3, and will start the race as one of the favourites for outright honours thanks to its crack driver line-up of Alex Davison, Laurens Vanthoor, and Markus Winkelhock.
The Phoenix R8 may have already won the pre-race beauty contest, however, after taking the covers off its Bathurst livery. The striking paint is a nod to the local Bathurst Wiradyuri Aboriginal Community, featuring indigenous Australian artwork featuring a goanna and a platypus.
Melbourne Performance Centre has also released images if its two R8s ahead of the 12 Hour. The Jamec Pem-backed cars will also be front-runners, with Christopher Haase, Marco Mapelli, and Christopher Mies in one, and Steven McLaughlin, Rene Rast, and Garth Tander in the other.
